The apparitions at La Salette, France in 1846 were very short and a disturbing message of warning. The recipients of two private messages were given to Françoise Mélanie Calvat and Pierre Maximin Giraud.

The children, Melanie and Maximin received individual secrets with both varying in length. In this book, the children describe the messages in their words, which have been translated from French. 

 The children's account of The Secrets of La Salette warns of;  a diabolic disorientation affecting a lukewarm and errant Catholic clergy; a widespread loss of faith; a schism and bloody persecution of the Church; particularly violent trials which the Holy Father will suffer; and the Church’s eventual calling upon the Blessed Virgin Mary, Whose intervention will triumph over the rampant evils in the world, bringing about a glorious period of peace.
